FREE Saturday Seminars

January	Setting up a mini or home studio. We will show you the best tips and tricks to get the best results on a shoe string. From light modification to a basic lighting set up for portraiture. Bring your camera and give our set-ups a try.
Febraury	Understanding exposure. Learn how to take your camera off "Green" mode. What are apertures? What does a shutter speed mean? Attend and find out.
March	Flash Photography. Learn all you need to know to make a good flash exposure,
April	Macro Photography. Learn the basics and some tips and tricks to good macro or close-up photography.
May	Low fidelity photography. Explore the fun and beauty of pinhole and toy camera photography.
June	Infrared Photography. Learn the secrets and techniques behind a very interesting form of photography. We will address both Digital and Film methods, as well as finishing and filtration.
July	Small product photography. This seminar will teach you how to get the most from a table top shooting situation, perfect for Ebay and other Online auction sites etc. We will discuss lighting and Product "treatments"
August	Setting up your home printer. Get the best results possible from your printer. We'll show you how.
September	Filters. Not just for coffee! Learn what the basic filters are and what they will do for you. Many filters can not be reproduced effectively in Photoshop...yes Digital does not always have ALL the answers. Stop by to find out.
October	Insane world within a world! We will show you the ins and outs of extreme macro photography. Bring your camera and give it a try.
November	Photoshop techniques. Designed for the beginner or newcomer to photoshop we will show you the basics and some neat tricks with Photoshop Elements 8
December	Make the most of your flash. Join us for some tips hints and basic skills for using your on camra flash or an accessory flash effectively.

Maximum enrolement and status is labelled next to the seminars below. Seminars start promptly at the time listed. Shoots are free to attend, just meet at the apointed time and place.

May 2011 date to be announced	Open FREE	Macro shoot, Brunet park,Lasalle. Join us Sunday morning for an informal but informative macro shoot. We will show you some tips and tricks to better macro close-up photography.
June 2011 date to be announced	Open FREE	Digital Infrared shoot. Bring your digital SLR camera to experience the beauty and delicate nature of infrared photography. We will have several IR filters to loan for the day. A good follow-up to the Saturday morning class.
August	Open	Pelee Nature shoot Urban Decay / City lights tour.
October	Open	Fall colour shoot
November	Open $100	Black and White Darkroom. starting November 25, 2009 (4 weeks). We will convert our store into a working darkroom to show you how easy it is to set one up in your own home. Watch as images appear under the red light of our makeshift darkroom! Over the 4 week course, you will be able to get hands on experience in developing your own negatives and making a print. Class size is VERY limited and starts @ 7:00 p.m. interested in attending?
